FABRIC Workshop focusing on Deployment Scenarios for Dynamic Charging of Electric Vehicles was succesfully held on Monday 19 June, 2017 at 10:00 to 13:15, in conjunction with the 12th Intelligent Transport Systems European Congress at the city of Strasbourg (Palais de la Musique et des Congrès). The Workshop was organised by QiE, ICCS and ERTICO partners and gathered 25 experts from key international companies.
As FABRIC has just entered its assessment phase, the basic aim of this workshop was to improve and validate the different deployment scenarios for the most promising on-road EV charging (dynamic charging) solutions as defined by the FABRIC partnership during its three and a half years of leading research. During the Workshop the participants had the chance to learn more about the initial project findings and to interact with project partners and other key experts in the area of electromobility. Discussions were focused on the roadmap for the introduction of the dynamic charging technology in the next decades. To this end the market opportunities for dynamic charging, the initial business models, the related market niches were thoroughly examined. participant's feedback and comments will be used by the FABRIC partners in the feasibility analysis curenlty conducted. More information about the topics addressed can be found at the Workshop minutes here.
