A related to FABRIC presentation was performed by Joram Langbroek from KTH during the 1st Electric Road Systems Conference that took place in Sandviken (SE), on 14-15 June 2017. During his speech Mr. Langbroek presented the basic facts and outcomes of the joint KTH and TNO study which focuses on the traffic operational effects of large-scale development of electric roads. The study was conducted in the framework of the FABRIC project and specifically as part of the activities within Sub-project 5: Assessment.The main objectives of this study were to investigate the:
1. physical operations of road way systems:
a. Under a staged deployment of on-road charging infrastructure;
b. And partial market penetration of compatibly-equipped vehicles into the general fleet;
2. traffic operational as well as emission effects.
